We are looking for a full-time Software Engineer (Andriod) in Kraków, Poland.
As an Android Software Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining our Android SDK-based apps, bringing context-awarenes to millions of mobile users around the world and pushing the boundaries of the Estimote Platform — a leader in an exciting and fast-paced industry that is evolving daily.
Responsibilities:
• Work closely with product and design teams to develop the Estimote experience for the Android platform
• Define architecture and take ownership of the development of our new Android SDK-based app
• Integrate the mobile app with our RESTful APIs
• Define test cases and perform quality assurance for each release of the app
Requirements:
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
• 2+ years of object-oriented software development experience, Java or C++ preferred
• 1+ years of Android development experience or can demonstrate equivalent proficiency
• Good understanding of the intricacies of the Android platform
• Experience in designing as well as consuming RESTful APIs
• A focus on UI design principles and making apps work intuitively
Ideally:
• Some experience in working with Bluetooth, especially Bluetooth Low Energy stack in Android
• Have at least one public facing native application in the Google Play marketplace
• A good understanding and passion for Agile development methodologies
• Experience with distributed version control systems (we like Git)
• Some experience or interest in Data Analytics or Data Visualization is a huge plus
