A global technology company specialising in high performance software and advanced analytics is currently to bolster the team with several hires due to a significant increase in customer
demand and new product innovation. We seek for a Data Architect / Database Architect to provide architectural, design and consultancy specifically within the Oracle and PostrgreSQL
centric datawarehouse arena to deliver their enterprise level platform for use by the corporation on a global basis. Working in a dual Data and Database Architecture capacity the Database Architect will evaluate project requests from a data and database perspective and advise on the capabilities of the enterprise level system from a database perspective. You will liaise with software architects to devise solutions to the project requests and provide high and low level designs and database architecture documentation prior to implementation taking place with the onshore/offshore development teams (Europe/Asia).

Role and Responsibilities:
● Determine database structural requirements by analyzing client requirements.
● Work closely with application development team to design database structure and performance tuning.
● Design partitioning strategy for large database.
● Define backup and recovery specifications for large database.

Skills Required:
● Able to simulate large database volume during application development.
● Development experience with advanced PL/SQL.
● Past experience with database replication technologies.
● Able to design for cached query results to simplify and speedup complex queries on large database.
● 5 years experience with Oracle database and open source solutions like PostgreSQL
